Democracy Now’s Amy Goodman with Denis Moynihan: Tickets ARE Available at the Door

Amy Goodman and Denis Moynihan are appearing at this fundraiser as part of KKFI’s year-long celebration of  its 25th Anniversary.  Amy and Denis will be autographing copies of their latest book, The Silenced Majority.

Democracy Now’s expanded coverage of the 2012 Republican and Democratic National Conventions provided unique perspectives from the “streets to the suites to the convention floor”. Democracy Now is broadcast to over 1,100 radio and television stations.

IBEW Local 124 has not only provided the venue for this event, but they are also preparing the VIP dinner which includes fowl, fish, fruits and veggies. Good healthy fare including vegetarian options.

VIP ticket holders will also be treated to a concert by spoken word artists The Recipe.

Theodore “Priest” Hughes and Desmond “3-3-7” Jones, the Recipe KC, believe by exemplifying excellence and team work as spoken word artist/activist we can influence change and encourage people by example to work together towards common goals. Our Nu Muse-ik POetry supports Expression without Weapons, youth and adult creative writing programs in schools, homeless and Juvenal institutions nurturing a generation of understanding through honest conversation.
