This week, we conclude the Green Party Presidential Candidate Forum started last week.  This was recorded in July at the Green Party Annual National Meeting at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.  James Lane, the Green Party candidate for Congress in the 11th, was the keynote speaker at the event.  We’ll round out the hour with his remarks.

It’s Women’s Equality Week on the Heartland Labor Forum. We’ll interview two Pioneer Working Women. First, Janet Smith organized and became President of the Faculty Union at University of Illinois Chicago. When the administration split the non-tenured and tenured faculty in two, she insisted on bargaining together.  Second, Jacki Chadwick drives a cement truck the size of a dinosaur. She’s a Teamster and says she and the guys work as a team delivering the cement. Tune in Thursday at 6pm, rebroadcast Friday at 5am.

This week on Arts Magazine, puppeteer Paul Mesner and performers Katie Kalahurka and Alex Espy oin Michael to discuss the Unicorn Theatre production of The Oldest Boy, and Devon Carney, the Artistic Director for Kansas City Ballet, will chat about their new season and their upcoming Dance Day festivities.

Join us for all this, plus another edition of Russ Simmons’ Freeze Frame!

Susan and Russ share their takes on “Listen to Me, Marlon,” a “autobiographical” documentary about one of the cinema’s greatest actors.
