Robin Martinez spoke at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center at a monthly Sierra Club meeting to share the history of the KXL pipeline in South Dakota and the regulatory battle before the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission over construction permitting for the Keystone XL Pipeline.

 

Martinez is an attorney in Kansas City with the law firm of Martinez Madrigal & Machicao, LLC. His primary work is on business, real estate, and community economic development issues, but he has been spending a significant amount of time on environmental issues.

In addition to this work, Robin serves as a member of the City of Kansas City’s Environmental Management Commission, where last year he chaired a task force that studied and made recommendations concerning sustainable uses for vacant lots in the City’s urban core neighborhoods.
