New Food Pantry Helps Those With Food Allergies

The Seventh Day Adventist have long been one of the best sources of information on vegetarian cooking and food preparation. Now the New Haven Seventh-day Adventist Church in Overland Park, KS is helping low income folks with food allergies afford the food they need to survive and be healthy. Their new food pantry is called Renewed Health, they are open on Wednesdays 9:30 AM till Noon and they serve anyone that has a doctors note, that says they need special food. The pantry is open to people in MO and KS.

Host Richard Tripp will be talking with founders of the pantry, Amy Goode and Emily Brown about this effort to help those in need of good food that will sustain them and the types of conditions people have that require a special diet.

Memorial Day Activities

We will have a conversation with Sargent Major Phillip Hoafler about the activities and ceremony to be held at the Kansas City Vietnam Veterans Memorial. We will let you know some of the other activities you can participate in to thank the men and women that have given their lives to protect the freedoms we all enjoy.

Radio Active Magazine hosts Brian Noland and Malik James  discuss inequality and the law, specifically how the legal profession is one of the least racially integrated professions in the country.  This inequality has led to disparity in law enforcement, judicial outcomes, and mass incarceration.
