Mountaintop Removal in God’s Country

An exploration of the the environmental impact of plans to build an open pit iron ore strip mine in northeast Wisconsin’s ancient Penokee mountain range. The mine could also have devastating cultural impacts on local Native American tribes. During the show, we hear from both sides of the mine debate, go on a tour of the Bad River Reservation’s wild rice beds and hear from people who are fighting to stop the mine.
