(Love Garden in Lawrence and Vinyl Underground at 7th Heaven are also part of Record Store Day.) More information about Mills Record Company at www.millsrecordcompany.com

At 10:30, the Kansas City based duo, Not Sisters, play live in our 90.1 FM Studios. Not Sisters are an indie acoustic folk cabaret duo consisting of Jen Appell on guitar & vocals, and Kristina Ning on upright bass. Jen Appell is the host of the Uptown Sirens Collective, presented on the second Thursday of every month at Davey’s Uptown Ramblers Club. The next Uptown Sirens Collective is Thursday, April 14, at 7:30 pm featuring Not Sisters, Mirina Landry, and Andara.

At 11:00, Mark welcomes Kansas City based multi-instrumentalist Teri Quinn who will play live and share music from her debut recording Moons and Meltdowns. A Northern girl with a Southern heart living in the Mid-West, Teri Quinn writes songs that are sweet yet savory. With her clawhammer banjo playing and stylized guitar picking, she mixes an old fashioned sound with a modern luster. Teri Quinn plays a special ALBUM RELEASE, Sunday, April 17, at 7:00 pm at The Buffalo Room, with Twenty Thousand Strongmen, Chase The Horseman, and Doby Watson. More information at: www.teriquinn.com.

At 11:30 Victor & Penny join us to share music from their new release Electricity! Formed in 2010, by Jeff Freling on guitar & vocals and Erin McGrane on ukulele & vocals, Victor & Penny infuse their music with a strong sense of swing, rooted in the riff driven style of Kansas City jazz, to create their own distinctive style. The nationally-touring duo have made over 800 public appearances, traveling over 150,000 miles in the last 4 years performing their original songs, hot jazz and offbeat pop standards. Their new release, Electricity was produced by Grammy Award winning Producer/Engineer Mitch Dane, at Sputnik Sound in Nashville, TN, featuring Victor & Penny’s fine band, The Loose Change Orchestra with James Isaac on clarinet, soprano saxophone and melodica; Rick Willoughby on upright bass; and trombonist Kyle Dahlquist. Victor & Penny play ELECTRICITY: CD Release Concert with their Loose Change Orchestra, Tuesday, April 19 at 7:30 pm, at Musical Theatre Heritage in Crown Center.
