Violence, Fear and the Refugee Crisis: Faithful Insights

Hear faith leaders share wisdom from their faiths’ traditions about how to respond to violence, fears and the refugee crisis. Should our responses be grounded in moral faith-based values? Do we need to respond to violence with more violence? Come and join the discussion.

Panel members include:
Alan Edelman, Associate Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City and Jewish Faith Director on the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council.
Zohra Hussaini, a devout Muslim, and a nurse practitioner, whose family immigrated from Afghanistan in the early 80’s
Rev. Dr. Anton Jacobs, a retired UCC pastor, author and Christian Protestant Faith Director on the GKC Interfaith Council.
Bhaswati Ray, a GKC Interfaith Council At-Large Director of the Hinduism faith
