Music from the 12th Annual Crossroads Music Festival with Guest Co-Host Bill Sundahl + Chris Haghirian

We’ll feature music from 18 bands participating in the 12th annual Crossroads Music Fest, presented by 90.1 FM KKFI, on Saturday, September 10, featuring Radkey & Kelley Hunt & over 35 bands, on 9 stages, all within 2 blocks, in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts & Music District. Mark will spin tracks from: Radkey, Various Blonde, Heidi Lynne Gluck, Emmaline Twist, Michaela Anne, The MGDs, Spirit is The Spirit, Amanda Fish Band, Amado Espinoza, Julian Davis & The Hay Burners, Nicholas St. James, Jessica Paige, The Matchsellers, Ivøry Black, Streetlevel Uprising, Stephonne Singleton, Dance Monkey Dance, and Instant Karma.

Bill Sundahl, founder of Crossroads Music Festival and 90.1 FM KKFI’s Special Events, Volunteer, and Underwriting Coordinator, joins us as co-host for the entire show to share details about participating artists, and venues: recordBar at 1520 Grand, The Tank Room at 1813 Grand, The Brick at 1727 McGee, The Living Room Upstairs, The Living Room Downstairs at 1818 McGee, Mod Gallery at 1809 McGee, Green Lady Lounge at 1809 Grand, Collection at 1532 Grand, and Good Golly at 1815 McGee. The Crossroads Music Fest also includes record label showcases from MudStomp Records, and The Record Machine.

At 11:00 Chris Haghirian joins us to share songs from bands and artists he is looking forward to seeing at this year’s Crossroads Music Fest. Chris Haghirian has worked for The KC Star for 17 years and helped launch INK in April of 2008 where he puts together music promotions, and organizes music at Boulevardia, The Plaza Art Fair, and Wednesday home game concerts at Kauffman Stadium. With Nathan Reusch of The Record Machine, Chris makes The Middle of The Map Fest happen each year. Chris is the host, with Sarah Bradshaw, of Eight One Sixty, heard Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm, on 90.9 The Bridge.
