At 11:00 legendary KC songwriter and musician, Howard Iceberg joins us to talk about his new double album (2 CD Set) recording of 26 new tracks called, “Kansas City Songs.” Howard Iceberg will play a CD Release Show at The Brick, 1727 McGee, KCMO, on Monday, September 26, at 6:00 to 9:00, with the Rural Grit Happy Hour show. All proceeds from Howard’s release will benefit Rural Grit for equipment upgrades.

At 11:30, Jesse Kates & Jamie Lin of The Sexy Accident, and musician Maggie Henehan, join us to talk about, Champagne Babycakes, the band’s 6th release that is also a card game. The Sexy Accident Card Game/Album Release Show will be at Holy Cow Market and Music, 3109 Gilliam Rd, on Friday, September 23, at 7:00 pm. Maggie Henehan opens. The Sexy Accident’s new record includes 12 songs, produced by Seattle legend Steven Henry Fisk, and a game deck of 45 cards designed by artist/musician Gavin Snider. The KC based band includes: Jesse Kates on guitar & vocals, Ramone Hall on drums, Jamie Lin on vocals, Pete Marten on bass, and Ryan Leip on keys.
