At 11:15, KKFI Station Manager – Barry Lee joins us to talk about the the KKFI Benefit – Beatles Tribute, Saturday, October 8, at 8:00 pm, at Knuckleheads Saloon, 2715 Rochester Street, KCMO. A group of All-Star KC & Lawrence musicians along with headliners The Philistines, to present a The Beatles Tribute show for John Lennon’s upcoming birthday. Special guests include D. Clinton Thompson from The Skeletons and the Morells along with former Ricky Dean Sinatra lead singer Alan Murphy. The house band includes Mike Penner from Broken Arrows, solo artist Darrell Lea, Pat Tomek from the The Rainmakers, Dave Tanner from Liverpool, Paul Lemon from Potters Field, and Todd Grantham of The Quivers. The Philistines will be playing a special set of Beatles psychedelic music.
