A Rebroadcast of Marjorie Cohn On Her Book, The United States and Torture. You Should Be Outraged All Over Again!

EXCITING NEWS STARTING SEPTEMBER 9TH JAWS OF JUSTICE RADIO WILL EXPAND TO A ONE HOUR BROACAST, AIRING FROM 9AM TO 10AM, CENTRAL TIME. ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS HAVE WORKED HARD AND LONG FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY. EXPECT MORE OF WHAT YOU HAVE COME TO EXPECT AND SOME NEW FEATURES WE HAVE WANTED TO DO FOR SOME TIME.

Just days before Bradley Manning was sentenced to 35 years for revealing the war crimes of the Bush and Obama administrations Attorney General Eric Holder went into Federal Court and filed a petition in federal court arguing that the perpetrators of those crimes – Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al – enjoy “absolute immunity” against criminal charges or civil liability.

JoJR felt this was a good time to rebroadcast an interview Margot Patterson did with Marjorie Cohn two years ago on her book The United States and Torture. In this book Marjorie makes the connections between the tortures at Abu Griab and what happens in the US penal system. She talks about the torture of Bradley Manning at Quantico the Military Prison before he was moved to the Federal Prison in Leavenworth, Kansas. After hearing this interview you will understand just what Bush and his buddies are being absolved of.
