A Victory for Bangladesh Garment Workers and Erik Loomis: The Corporate Outsourcing Catastrophe

This week on the Heartland Labor Forum, we get some good news from Bangladesh about compensation for the Rana Plaza building collapse in 2013, then talk to Erik Loomis, whose book, Out of Sight, follows the thread that runs from the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire in New York in 1911 to the building collapse at Rana Plaza. He says our systems of industrial production today are just as dirty and abusive as they were during the depths of the industrial revolution. Thursday at 6pm, rebroadcast Friday morning at 5.
