Alexis Baden-Myer, Political Director, Organic Consumers Association

Food Fight! continues with Alexis Baden-Mayer;  lawyer and activist who has worked in Washington, DC, as the political director of the Organic Consumers Association since 2005. She has contributed to some of the organizations most successful projects, including the Millions Against Monsanto campaign. The group’s lobbying arm, the Organic Consumers Fund, has been a top donor to state legislative and initiative campaigns in California, Washington and Vermont, where they achieved the first no-strings-attached victory this year, when Vermont became the first state to pass a “clean” bill to label GMOs. This year, OCF is also supporting local initiatives to ban GMOs, including the GMO Free Jackson County (Oregon) effort which will get a vote on May 20.

From Occupy Monsanto:

Non-Hierarchical Occupation of Monsanto Everywhere

Whether you like it or not, chances are Monsanto contaminated the food you ate today with chemicals and unlabeled GMOs. Monsanto controls much of the world’s food supply at the expense of food democracy worldwide. This site is dedicated to empowering citizens of the world to take action against Monsanto & it’s enablers like the FDA, USDA, EPA, GMA, BIO, and the processed food companies that use Monsanto’s products.
