Amendment 1- Right to Farm Debate and Elizabeth Warren Addresses Netroots Nation

Host Tom Klammer is off recharging his batteries for a couple weeks, this weeks guest host is Jeff Humfeld with technical support from Mike Murphy.

Amendment 1 – Right To Farm

Farming is big business in Missouri and most people are probably wondering why there would be a need to codify the right to farm in the Missouri Constitution. Is the right to farm under some kind of threat? Will this Amendment give corporations an upper hand over family farmers? Will this open the door for foreign corporations to buy up Missouri Farm land? Why amendment instead of pushing a bill through the legislature?

With us on this edition of Tell Somebody will be Blake Hurst, President of the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation and Tim Gibbons of the Missouri Rural Crisis Center to give the pro and con of Amendment 1. Listen in and find out what you need to know to make an informed decision next Tuesday.

Senator Elizabeth Warren at the Net Roots Conference

Senator Warren is quickly becoming a force for the Democrats on the campaign trail with her populist economic message. She has been called on to speak for Democratic candidates in a number of traditionally Republican strongholds lately.

Today we will replay a speech she gave to a gathering of Bloggers and online commentators and political analysts at the Netroots Nation in Detroit earlier this month.
