“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
Kansas City is in for another spectacular week of Roots Music and two of those highlights will be recent Nashville transplants Amy Black (from Boston) and Sarah Potenza (via Chicago and Rhode Island). Amy has a brand new Muscle Shoals inspired cd recorded in the famous Alabama studios with iconic players like Spooner Oldham. Sarah is riding the wave caused by her stellar performances on NBC’s The Voice but we’ve known she was the shizzle from her days performing here with Sarah and The Tall Boys. Sarah recently successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign to fund her next cd. Diana Linn will also be joined in the studio by a first time Guest DJ Tony from Cosby, Missouri. Tune in for the best in Americana/Bluegrass/Country/Roots Music this Tuesday at 6 a.m.
