The All Souls Unitarian Universalist Forum, Kansas City's longest ongoing conversation, has offered a platform for the discussion of significant issues since 1943.
On this week’s All Souls Forum, technologist Craig Volland is the featured speaker. Volland has addressed social and regulatory issues with large livestock feeding operations since 1996 for the Kansas Sierra Club and others. Today, he will discuss the fundamental contradictions of the underlying technology, called intensive confinement, and compare it to other troubled technologies that have boomed and faded during America’s Post-WWII industrial era.
