Cristina Muñiz- Cristina Muñiz is a native to San Antonio, moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 2012 to finish her BFA at KCAI. In 2014, she was a recipient of the Charlotte Street Foundation’s Studio Residency program. Muñiz has shown her paintings in several exhibitions across the country and recently exhibited work in a solo show at the Kiosk Galley. Due to health and economic situations Cristina returns to San Antonio but looks forward to return visits in KC.

Theresa Goodman is a Certified Yoga therapist and an artist. “I began yoga when I was 33 years old. I was in lots of pain and started with Yoga Asana. I instantly felt better and that lead me on to a healing path. I had no idea the journey it would lead me to years later. I attended many workshops with master teachers and different lineages. Yoga asana (postures) were all I had known and discovered a whole world of yoga traditions and practices. It was a way of life. In one workshop with Rama Vernon Jyot I found my voice. Singing mantras became a habit, I loved learning new invocations.”
“One of my first spiritual experiences was when I was a young child growing up Roman Catholic where they still sad the mass in Latin. The service moved me. It was years later when I would experience this once again at a Deva Primal (female vocalist who sings mantras) concert on the Plaza. I discovered music heals so I began to sing to my students. I then started to get several requests for my music recording and so here we are today.”

NAVA means nine in Sanskrit. I sing Nine Mantras on the album. The Gayatri Mantra is my own original version.
