Anthony “AO” Oropeza is a writer, producer, publisher, and creator of AMIGOMAN, a bilingual comic created for kids to promote reading. AOART5 and Strong Ave. Studios are Oropeza’s art & design studios focusing on sports art, comic books,character art and design. Join Prospero’s and Spartan Press to celebrate the release of bokk #3 in the 2016 Pop Poetry sequence featuring Erin McGrane’s first book of poetry and lyrics: overtone.McGrane is a musician, songwriter, producer, workshop presenter, actress and poet. She hosts the TV program, CINEMAKC for Kansas City Public Television; she also appeared in a Heartland Emmy-winning web series and the Oscar-nominated film UP IN THE AIR, alongside George Clooney. Erin is an ArtsKC Inspiration Grant recipient, and an ArtistINC fellow where she serves as a peer facilitator. Her current project, Victor & Penny, is a prohibition-era jazz duo for which she writes, sings and plays ukulele with former Blue Man Group guitarist, Jeff Freling. The nationally-touring duo was a 2013 Escape To Create artists-in-residence and has made over 800 public appearances, traveling over 150,000 miles in the last 4 years.

90.1 FM KKFI Events Coordinator – Bill Sundahl joins us to talk about the upcoming KKFI 2016 ANNUAL BAND AUCTION, Thursday. Mar. 31 through Sunday April 3. Bands will play live in 90.1FM Studios or play pre-recorded music and be interviewed live on the air. During that 30 minutes, listeners can call 888-931-0901 and bid on the band. The high bidder works with the band, solo artist, or DJ to arrange for a two-hour gig sometime during the next 12 months. This could be a birthday party, anniversary, block party, or class reunion.
