”I have never seen a finer piece of acting or writing come together recently than in the speech about death given by Tom Sawyer (Philip Hooser). Perfection.” ~ Jesse Salsbury

Set in Truman Capote’s apartment at 870 Untied Nations Plaza, It’s the week before Christmas, 1975. An excerpt from Truman Capote’s infamous tell-all biography “roman a clef, Answered Prayers” has been recently published by Esquire magazine. Recognizing thinly-veiled versions of themselves, Manhattan’s socialites have turned their back on their once favorite enfant terrible.

Alone and lonely, Capote is hold up – soothing himself with pills, vodka, cocaine and bonbons – in NYC and is left to rant and muse about his flamboyant life and career.

Finishing out an amazing year of leading-roll performances that included the critically acclaimed:

Arnold in Harvey Fierstein’s TORCH SONG TRILOGY

Tom Sawyer in Phil Kinen’s IN REGARD TO FLIGHT

THE MADNESS OF LADY BRIGHT by Lanford Wilson

Psst- in our humble opinion, Hooser is pitch-perfect as Capote!
