Jaws of Justice Radio
It is the intention of Jaws of Justice Radio to investigate how to achieve justice in America, this includes issues of economic injustice, political injustice and the criminal justice system. We want to put a human face on those caught in the grasp of injustice and those that are part of an unjust system. We strive to dispel the misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system.

Author Lance LoRusso On Police Reaction To Criticism
JoJR interviewed Lance LoRusso in July of 2014 about his book WHEN COPS KILL: THE AFTERMATH OF A CRITICAL INCIDENT TAKES YOU THROUGH AN OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING AND THE YEARS AFTER a guide for police officers and their families after an incident where an officer takes a life. Lance released a new book in December of last year titled BLUE NEWS that is intended to help police and police departments navigate the media storm in the wake of police killings.
“Conflicts between law enforcement and journalists often stem from a lack of understanding, My hope is to broaden the knowledge of both and thereby improve their relationships.”
Host Craig Lubow will talk with Lance about his book BLUE NEWS and why many police officers and police departments feel under siege from the public they are charged with serving.

The Cross Border Network will have their monthly meeting Monday, June 5th at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center, 4801 Rockhill Rd, KCMO. The
Board meeting will be at 6:30 pm, general meeting at 7:30 pm Come and learn about the Inspector General’s report on the Ahuas Massacre by the U.S. DEA and Honduran police.

The Criminal Justice Task Force will meet Monday June 5th from 6:45 to 8:45 pm at the Church of the Good Shepard, 4947 Chouteau Drive, KCMO. The Criminal Justice Task Force mission is to lobby the Missouri State Legislature for sentencing laws that are fair and basic human rights, including protection against cruel and unusual punishment of those that are incarcerated. Mothers of Incarcerated Sons and Daughters will have their monthly meeting Saturday, June 10th from noon to 2pm at the Waldo Branch Library, 201 East 75th Street, KCMO If you have a loved one that is incarcerated and need advice and support MISD have members that may be able to help.
