Pacifica Radio Archives’ “From the Vault”
Each week the Pacifica Radio Archives chooses a program "From the Vault" of broadcasts in a half-hour program.
On this edition of From The Vault, we present some of the views of Bernie Sanders, a transformative politician unlike anyone our country has seen.
Our first recording goes back to 1989 when Bernie Sanders was running for Congress just before he won his first Congressional seat in 1990 as an Independent from Vermont. You ll notice that some of his views then are very similar to his views today.
We will then hear from Senator Bernie Sanders from January of 2016, as a Presidential Candidate who gave front runner Hillary Clinton a run for her money, but came up short. In this speech he addressed the Need for Wall Street reform before we can begin balancing the unprecedented wealth inequality gap.
And finally we’ll hear Senator Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, doing all he can to help the Democratic Party win the Presidential election in November.
