Bessie’s House – Helping the Homeless in NE KC

Bessie’s House is a loving, Christ-like response to the spiritual, economic, and social poverty across the city of Kansas City, Missouri; with focus on the Old Northeast neighborhood area. They are a passionate group of servant followers of Jesus dedicated to respond to these problems – one person at a time. Bessie’s House serves hundreds of people every month with an introduction to Jesus, a bite to eat, a hot shower and laundry service.

Host Melvin Merritt will talk with Mike Low about the beginnings of Bessie’s House, their move from the house they worked out of for many years and their recent purchase of land in NE area to build a facility that fits their operation and the needs of the neighborhood.
