Yasmari Rodriguez is a Black Lives Matter activist and community builder who lives in Topeka, KS. She believes in the validity of Black life & the Black liberation movement. Currently, Yasmari is the KC regional Program Coordinator for a national non-profit. Yasmari has worked extensively in community organizing and engagement where she has developed a passion for the values of equity, advocacy and education. In this work, she has used her advocacy efforts to engage others to identify problems and use joint collaboration to create solutions. The result has been partnerships with The Kansas African American Affairs Commission, NetReach, City of Topeka, Kansas People’s Agenda and more.
