WINGS: Women's International News Gathering Service is an all-woman independent radio production company that produces and distributes news and current affairs programs by and about women around the world.
Ever since George W. Bush defeated Governor Ann Richards in her run for a second term, Republicans have dominated the government of Texas, and according to author Mary Beth Rogers, ordinary business-oriented conservatives have morphed into blustering buffoons. Rogers was keynote speaker at the Texas Democratic Women’s convention in February 2016. Producer Frieda Werden excerpts her speech and interviews women Democrats from the Black and Latino and feminist spheres of action.
