Blues Folkified Style – A Tasty Brew in the Kitchen

Even Junebug has caught the folkified flu…he is taking advantage of the world class musicians that will be in Kansas City this week for the Folk Alliance International Conference and will be sharing his air time on the Blues Kitchen with Tasty Brew host (Tuesday Morning Buzz) Diana Linn.  Scheduled to appear in the Blues Kitchen are seven time International Bluegrass Music Association award winning bass player Missy Raines, Muscle Shoals transplant Amy Black, Kansas City area native Jeff Black, now a very successful performer and songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee, singer/songwriter/poet from Sopchoppy, Florida, Grant Peeples and Canadian born bluesman Ray Bonneville!  Missy Raines traveled internationally for years with bluegrass maven Claire Lynch.  Her current project, The New Hip, fuses jazz, bluegrass, pop and funk.  Amy Black has a brand new CD, This is Home, that is receiving rave reviews. She most recently played a show with Muscle Shoals legends Spooner Oldham and David Hood of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Session. Jeff Black has collaborated with some of the best musicians in Nashville and has a brand new project to talk about.  Grant Peeples recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund his new Gurf Morlix produced CD, Punishing the Myth. Ray Bonneville, a blues groove master from Quebec travels internationally, tells the best stories and will end the show that will set your Saturday right!  Come on in the Kitchen!
