The Tenth Voice (LGBTQIA)
The Tenth Voice is the Kansas City area's only weekly broadcast created by and for LGBTQIA+ people in our community in the Greater Kansas City area and around the world online. Listeners can tune in each Saturday at 1:00 PM. Each week our team of hosts and producers present interviews, information, music, news and features especially important to Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, Transgender & Nonbinary people, Queer, Intersex, Asexual & Aromantic people and Allied collective communities. Since 1989, The Tenth Voice radio show has documented and informed the LGBTQIA+ Kansas City Community.
Pierce Patterson has some great guests lined up. He’ll begin his conversation with an interview with a Elizabeth Hodges from KC Legal (8:40). They will discuss updates in law relevant to our community.
Pierce’s second segment includes a discussion about body image in the LGBT community with UMKC researchers Christopher Davids, M.A. and Laural Watson, Ph.D. (25:30)
As always, our show will begin with news brought to us by Sandra Meade and end with the Tenth Voice Community Calendar curated by Brent Husher (52:00).
