Citizens For Justice In The Middle East

We start off today’s Tell Somebody with guest host Jeff Humfeld talking to Kristine Elizabeth and Fatima Mohamadi of Citizens For Justice In The Middle East. We spoke about the blockade of Gaza which is the underlying reason for much of the violence there and what we in Kansas City can do to change the dialogue among people and in the media to bring about meaningful change.

CJME is a local group working to educate people on the who, what when and why of the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians. They have developed contacts and resources from Jewish and Muslim organizations and have sponsored a number of activities and exhibits in the KC area.

Sister Simone Campbell, A Nun On The Bus and The Network Mission

In the second part of the show Alice Kitchen, one of Tell Somebody’s favorite local guests turns host to talk to Sister Simone Campbell about http://www.networklobby.org/ . They also spoke about the Nun’s On The Bus mission of social, economic and political justice.

Sister Simone will be in Kansas City to speak Thursday August 7th, 6:30 PM at the Community Christian Church, 4600 Main St, KCMO.
