Art of the Song visits with Michigan singer/songwriter Claudia Schmidt. With styles ranging from folk to jazz to spoken word, she’s performed for audiences large and small across North America and Europe, including numerous appearances on the radio program, A Prairie Home Companion. According to her bio, “Schmidt weaves her way through her concert in much the same manner as a jester. Interwoven anecdotes, revealing her past and present, bring people to expect a relationship between themselves and memories driven deep with the passage of time.” We visited with Claudia in our Art of the Song studio.
