Climate Uprising: Indigenous Women at the Global Climate Action Summit

Indigenous Women Speak Their Truth On The Climate Crisis

As the climate emergency on Earth becomes more critical, California Governor Jerry Brown called for a Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco. Women took to the streets in the thousands to tell him, and the summit attendees, that policies like cap and trade are making the climate crisis worse. Brown is an advocate of cap and trade. Indigenous women activists spoke their truth and expressed their vision at the Women’s Assembly organized by the Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network, during the week of the summit.
