Cormac McCarthy

This week on Art of the Song, we welcome a long time favorite of ours, Cormac McCarthy. I first met Cormac when I was booking a coffee house at my college in the late 1970s. His guitar styling, vocal ease and poetry honoring people and place made a lasting impact. Cormac is regarded by fellow musicians and fans alike as one of New England’s finest songwriters. His insights elevate the common place events of common people that are sometimes glorious and sometimes desperate, and they sure make for good songs. Also coming up, we’ll hear from our Standing O Spotlight artist Tom Bartlett, another new Englander that I befriended this summer with his song You Can’t Get There From Here.
