On this week’s Heartland Labor Forum, we’ll interview Barbara Garson, whose new book Down the Up Escalator; How the 99% Live in the Great Recession finds that the recession for working people has been going on for decades. Their declining wages are a principal cause of its persistence. She says, “Do your patriotic duty and ask for a raise.” Then, Wichita’s Sunflower Community Action looks at the comprehensive immigration bill in the Senate and tells us about organizing to win a reform.
