The first hour of the February 2 edition of Your Tasty Brew Winter Pledge Drive Show will feature the best in Americana and Roots Music with special in studio guests Joelle St. Pierre and Wyatt West in support of a February 13 event at Coda to raise funds and awareness for the Midwest Music Foundation.

In hour 2…it was exactly one year ago that Kansas City based country artist Sara Morgan debuted “One Night at the Opry” on The Tasty Brew Music Radio Show to help raise funds for KKFI’s Winter Pledge Drive.  In the second hour (7 am Central)  of the February 2 show, lucky KKFI listeners will once again hear a Sara Morgan broadcast debut and more live in studio performance in support of the 2016 Winter Pledge Drive for YOUR community radio station.  This time the tune is “Drive a Tractor,” a song that is serving as the cornerstone of a new campaign by Ms. Morgan to help raise awareness and promote education for young people to pursue careers in agriculture.  As of right now there are over 322 million people living in the United States being fed by roughly 3.2 million farmers. While the population continues to grow, the number of farmers is in decline. Farming is a difficult profession, and as the generations age, there are fewer young people choosing to farm.  Our nation, and the world, desperately needs farmers. In the coming months, Sara is on a mission to find the farmers who work to feed the families of this country and introduce them to America.  It is her hope that this will be the beginning of a grass roots ground swell of encouragement to, and support for, our current farmers and the future farmers who have yet to plow their first field.
