Explore Black Music Month

On Your Wednesday Morning Buzz, from six to eight, I’ll be playing music to welcome in summer, as well as continue my exploration of Black Music Month with the music of Sly & the Family Stone.  I bet you can think of one song I’m going to play already!

If you donate during this time at the $60 level on credit card,  or walk in pledge, you’ll can have a pair of tickets to Gerald Trimble’s Celtic and World music sessions presents “England Swings – Alchemy, Improvisation and the Baroque Roots of Jazz.” The concert will be held Saturday, June 30 8 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church, 9201Wornall Road.  If you donate on credit card at the $75, we’d thank you with the 25th anniversary reissue of Paul Simon’s classic, Graceland.  CD/DVD.  The CD includes previously unissued bonus tracks, and the DVD is the film, Under African Skies, Paul Simon’s Graceland Journey.  If you donate at the $90 level on credit card, you get the new KKFI T-shirt (bump that up to at least $100 and we’ll throw in your choice of Gerald Trimble tickets or the Paul Simon CD/DVD).  If you donate at the $150 level on credit card, we thank you with the coveted guest dj certificate.  (Bump that up to at least $160 and we’ll throw in both the Gerald tix and the Paul Simon CD/DVD).  We only have eight of the Paul Simon disc sets.
