Faces and Voices – Recovery From Addiction with Gloria Nepote and KKFI Pledge Drive

Gloria Nepote, CCDP, LAC, BRI II is the Clinical Liaison at Keystone Treatment Center and is well known in the recovery community in the Kansas City Area. Today Gloria will talk with Liz Henry and Cassandra Mitchell about Faces and Voices an effort to encourage recovering addicts to tell their story of recovery. They also work to influence public policy to create better opportunities for recovery within our communities. Gloria will also talk about her own recovery experience.

The Kansas City Chapter of Missourian’s For Altenatives to the Death Penalty will meet Tuesday, February 4th from 6:30 to 8pm at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, 4501 Walnut, KCMO. Cathleen Burnett, UMKC Professor Emerita will speak on the myth of the Death Penalty’s detterence to murder. They will also discuss efforts to picket the combining pharmcy in Oklahoma that is suppliying Missouri with drugs for executions.
