Family United Transportation Service provides services to families with loved ones incarcerated in Missouri and Kansas correctional facilities. We believe in family unity and putting families first. In addition to Keeping Families Connected, we also offer exclusive services to senior citizens and others who desire to travel with us for personal needs.

Cop Watch with Occupy KC

Host Keith Brown El brings Ilea Laubar and Mike Chase of Occupy KC in to talk about a citizens eye on how the KC Police Protect and Serve. From teenagers on the Plaza to street people in Midtown Occupy KC has been observing the way the police do their job. While the Supreme Court says you have the right to record the police don’t always agree.

Governor Jay Nixon has vetoed the Department of Corrections budget line item for new or continuing Community Reentry Grants. All grant contracts terminate by July 31st . That means elimination of 2 million dollars in grant funds for Missouri Probation & Parole offices in communities around the state to assist offenders to learn to read, find employment and housing and get connected with other resources.
