The Foolkiller Folk collective explores the storytelling, cultural, and protest power of folk music from as far back as the Child Ballads through as current as released today.

Mark & Val with a mailbag show today: music that is new to us (some of which came to us from fRoots). We’re mostly touring the British Isles with ‘Ten Strings and a Goatskin’, ‘Steve Crawford and Sabrina Palm’, Niamh Boadle’, ‘Ruth Keggin’, ‘Ruth Throdore’, ‘Gillian Frame’, ‘Solarference’, ‘Moirai’, ‘Rob Johnson’, ‘Harp and a Monkey’ and ‘Julian Gaskill and his Ragged Trousered Philanthropists’. But somewhere in between, we’ll tuck a bit of Scandinavian nykleharpa and Hardanger fiddle with ‘Eric Rydel/Olav Mjelva’, combine them both with ‘Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer’.
