GMO foods….What’s On Your Plate? Conversation with Dr. Lori Blankinship

Dr. Lori Blankinship returns to further enlighten us on the possible consequences of
America’s social shift to genetically modified organisms, GMO’s in foods.
Dr. Blankinship, is a native of Kansas City, Missouri. She attended National College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Portland, Oregon, one of the world’s leading institutions in Naturopathic medicine.
Dr. Blankinship received most of her clinical training in under-served communities, including rotations at Outside-In Clinic (featured on PBS) providing low-cost medical care to the homeless and disadvantaged of Portland, Oregon.
She is currently CEO of Village Medicine, LLC, a company specializing in family medicine and health & wellness education; and is the CEO and Medical Director for the Village Clinic located in urban Kansas City, Ks. The Village Clinic addresses the social determinants of health as part of each person’s wellness plan, while providing low cost natural medicine in a family practice setting.
In addition to teaching and practicing Naturopathic medicine, Dr. Blankinship serves on the Advisory Board for the Campaign to End Aids and the Board of the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.  She is a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow (Ladder to Leadership – community based medicine emphasizing social determinants of health). We will also discuss (but not diagnose) how Naturopathic doctors support people who have a cancer diagnosis through the use of Naturopathic medicines.
