The Gutting of Our Universities and Forced Arbitration: Surrender Your Rights

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that cutting state university budgets is bad for faculty, staff and students, but this week on the Heartland Labor Forum, a rocket scientist from KU will give his simple answer to how to stop gutting our universities. Then, Kansas City AFL-CIO President Pat “Duke” Dujakovich will explain why a proposed forced arbitration law for employees in the Missouri legislature means surrendering our rights. And if that’s not enough, he’ll discuss how the so-called right to work law also shrinks workers’ rights. Thursday at 6pm, rebroadcast Friday at 5am.
