“How To Jump-Start Your Union”

This week on the Heartland Labor Forum, we’ll talk to Alexandra Bradbury of Labor Notes about her new book, How To Jump-Start Your Union, on the Chicago teachers strike. It’s a play-by-play account of one of the most successful strikes in modern U.S. history. It documents what it takes to level the playing field against corporate masters and politicians. Then, the United Autoworkers will face the Big Three in negotiations this fall. Can they eliminate two-tier wages? What happened at the Bargaining Convention with the dues increase to build the strike fund? We’ll talk to a delegate. All this on Thursday at 6PM, rebroadcast Friday at 5AM. Tune in!
