Sprouts Radio from the Grassroots is a 30-minute weekly program featuring radio programs produced at community radio stations or by other independent producers from across the country and sometimes around the world.
Paul DeMain is managing editor of Indian Country Communication, Inc. an independent, Native-owned, reservation based business that produces IndianCountryTV.com and published News From Indian Country. They are located on the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Reservation in Northern Wisconsin and have eight stock holders and are one of the few tribally oriented publications that is not owned, or politically controlled by a tribal government.
News From Indian Country and IndianCountryTV are currently the main efforts to assist in providing the public with news and information from Indigenous Nations. For over two decades ICC, Inc. has published News From Indian Country, an independent national newspaper, the oldest national Native newspaper in the United States in compact form.
