Each week the Pacifica Radio Archives chooses a program "From the Vault" of broadcasts in a half-hour program.
This radio documentary was produced by some of Pacifica’s finest: Bari Scott, Craig West, Don West and David Henderson. At the time of this broadcast in 1982, there was NOTHING like it in the WORLD. Unique interviews with Hendrix, Noel Redding, Ornette Coleman, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Stevie Wonder, John Lee Hooker, Jimi’s father Al Hendrix, John McLaughlin, and many others. But it also included rare recordings of Jimi’s music that was extremely difficult to find, if it could be heard at all.
