Judy Ancel: Educator, Activist, Organizer & All Around Hell Raiser

This RadioActive episode features an interview with one of KC’s premiere social activists, Judy Ancel.  Judy does more than talk the talk…she walks the walk and does the hard work of organizing for a better world.

Judy Ancel, Executive Producer of KKFI’s award winning Heartland Labor Forum, has led a busy and active life.  From civil rights marches in high school in 1962 to Stand Up KC marches in 2017, Judy has been an educator and social activist organizer, leader and all around hell raiser.  She has led the labor studies program at UMKC for nearly 30 years and for the last two decades has also been chief organizer and activist for Cross Border Network, an organization dedicated to fighting for social and economic justice for workers in Latin America.  Judy’s struggles on behalf of Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador are particularly inspirational.
