Julio’s Holiday

This week we present radio productions of 4 classic Christmas short stories: A Child’s Christmas In Wales, The Gift of The Magi and Yes, Virginia There Is A Santa Claus, and NEW for 2009 we’ve added Julio’s newest Christmas tale: All is Calm: The story of Silent Night.

These Christmas tales are produced by Julio Martinez, host of Arts In Review on our Los Angeles station KPFK and performed by the KPFK Arts In Review Repertory Players.

Julio Martinez began a long relationship with Pacifica Radio in 1967 when he partnered with Pacifica’s flagship station KPFA in Berkeley.

Julio has since moved to Los Angeles and is now hosts a show called Arts In Review on KPFK 90.7 fm Los Angeles.

Yes Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus ( 5:31)
taking us back to 1897, when 8 year old Virginia O’ Hanlon wrote to the New York sun newspaper to find out if Santa Claus was real.
