Jaws of Justice Radio
It is the intention of Jaws of Justice Radio to investigate how to achieve justice in America, this includes issues of economic injustice, political injustice and the criminal justice system. We want to put a human face on those caught in the grasp of injustice and those that are part of an unjust system. We strive to dispel the misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system.
Host Robin Martinez talks with Mark Andruss about his recent experience on jury duty in Jackson County. Mark gives his observations on the selection and deliberation processes. Also joining in will be local Defense Attorney Eric Vernon to talk about the jury selection process from the view of the prosecution and defense.
Mark will talk about how the low rate of pay for jurors and the number of potential jurors with family members behind bars affected the jury pool. He also has an observation of how DNA evidence was viewd by some of the other jurors.
Eric Vernon will talk about how the Prosecution and Defense evaluate and pick jurors.
