Missouri Representative Judy Morgan (Dist 24) and Dr Micah Kubic, Executive Director, Kansas-ACLU, describe the attempts at voter suppression in both Kansas and Missouri. Under Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach and Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, Kansas voter ID requirements would accept birth certificates or passports only, and would NOT accept Motor-Voter registration as provided for under federal law. In Missouri, it is estimated Amendment 6, which will be on the November ballot, would disenfranchise over 220,000 Missouri residents.
