Local Showcase
The Local ShowCase features live or recorded performances of music, poetry, prose, etc. of local and regional artists. This showcase is hosted by a variety of KKFI programmers covering a broad spectrum of musical genres.
Karen Baum will be live in studio playing guitar and singing for us. She is a longtime blues performer in Kansas City and surrounding areas. Karen is also the founder and driving force behind BluesLovers Calendar online. Most people know her from Crosseyed Cat, her band that recently “packed it in” after many years of wonderful performances at BB’s and other music venues. As usual, Betty Berry and Dennis Nelson of the KCBS will be joining us.
