KCMO Ballot To NORMLize Marijuana? and A MO Legislative Update with Representative Brandon Ellington

KCMO Ballot To NORMALize Marijuana?

The election tomorrow in KCMO will include a ballot initiative to reduce the penalties for possession of small amounts of marijuana to a $25 fine. While it is a step in the right direction is it really a help to the poor in our community as claimed or are there hidden problems? What effect would this have on people that use medical cannabis? Will a city ordinance violation be visible to a prospective employer?

Host Jessica Thomas talks with Jeffrey Carry and Jennifer Shockley of the local chapter of the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) about the ballot initiative and the possible side effects.
