KCMO earns 4 star sustainability rating

Jerry Shechter, KCMO Sustainability Coordinator for the Office of Environmental Quality, will join host Craig Lubow to talk about the four start rating KCMO earned and where the City needs to improve. He will talk about the city’s movement toward resilience and sustainability and current ordinances that will help the city achieve greater sustainability. The mission of the City of Kansas City, Missouri is to deliver quality, customer-focused municipal services with an emphasis on public safety, neighborhood livability, job creation, responsible planning for economic growth, infrastructure improvements, transportation systems, public health, and the environment. In pursuit of this mission, the city uses data to make decisions and measure progress based on economic, social, and environmental factors.
