“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
Diana Linn welcomes back to the KKFI studios, Kansas City area musician Keith Ladd.
Keith has appeared on KKFI’s The Local Showcase as the guitarist for The Heather Joan Newman Band.
Keith Ladd was born and raised in Lee’s Summit, Mo. From a young age he had a great fascination with music. Weather it was Steve Earle, Hank Williams Jr., or Stevie Ray Vaughan on the radio, he was always singing along. When he was 5 years old he started playing his dad’s guitars on and off but he really didn’t pick it up until age 10. In the Spring of 2001 he played his first talent show and it was over, from that moment on he knew exactly what he wanted to do.
Keith has just released his first solo EP “Ain’t Your Outlaw.” In addition to performing with The Heather Joan Newman Band, he will begin touring for his solo project and is currently booking shows for 2017.
