Kortchmar, Postell & Navarro 

This week on Art of the Song we’re proud to present another of our interviews and performances recorded live at the annual conference of Folk Alliance International. Our guests are Danny Kortchmar, Steve Postell and Dan Navarro, together known as Kortchmar, Postell and Navarro, or KPN. Danny Kortchmar is a guitarist, session player, producer and songwriter. His work with singer-songwriters such as Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, David Crosby, Carole King, Graham Nash, Neil Young, and Carly Simon helped define the signature sound of the singer-songwriter era of the 1970s. Steve Postell is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/composer and producer. Trained at The Mannes College Of Music in New York City, Steve has had a successful, prolific career which spans his days playing with Pure Prairie League to performing on Broadway in shows such as “Evita” and “The Man Of LaMancha.” Dan Navarro is a singer/songwriter and voice actor best known as half of the duo Lowen & Navarro. Dan’s credits as a songwriter include cuts by artists as diverse as Pat Benatar, The Bangles, Jackson Browne, The Temptations, and Dionne Warwick. He has a parallel career as a voice actor and singer, having been heard in films like Pirates of the Caribbean 5, and The Book Of Life.
